LONDON, England – Arsenal produced an emphatic performance to thrash Lens 6-0 at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, securing top spot in Group B of the UEFA Champions League.
The Gunners were ruthless from the outset, taking the lead inside four minutes through Kai Havertz. Gabriel Jesus doubled the advantage just three minutes later, before Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli added further goals to make it 4-0 after just 27 minutes.
Arsenal continued to dominate in the second half, and Martin Odegaard added a fifth goal in first-half stoppage time. Jorginho sealed the victory from the penalty spot in the 86th minute.
The win means Arsenal will go into the knockout stages of the Champions League as group winners, and they will be hoping for a favorable draw in the next round.
